Portfolio Highlights

THE CLIENT

Krueck Sexton Partners (KSP), is an architecture firm that has left a mark on the world well beyond its hometown of Chicago. As with many of my A&D clients, it needed a new story to support its growth goals, and to align its expanding leadership team around a shared vision for the future.

KSP’s reputation for beautiful work belied just how much that beauty emerged directly from making the most of real-world obstacles and constraints. Shining a light on this problem-solving DNA was key to positioning the firm and giving its story a strong point of view and voice.

THE CLIENT

BAMO, a San Francisco luxury hospitality and residential interiors firm, was readying for its next chapter, and welcoming its next-generation leaders to the table.

The team’s collective understanding of luxury as an emotional experience — as opposed to purely one of material and craft — surfaced early in our conversations. This became a key in repositioning the firm. The resulting brand narrative captured this perspective, providing the foundation for deeper conversations with prospective clients, the press, and the larger design community.

THE CLIENT

Vitamin Angels. A brand refresh in partnership with Bumpercrop Studio kicked off a seven-year engagement. My task: to help the organization keep pace with — and celebrate — their growth from small malnutrition charity to global public health non-profit reaching 75 million mothers and children annually.

Every step of the way, our work sought to tell the story of the joyful, and intergenerational, impact of early nutrition on individuals, families, and communities.

THE CLIENT

Longtime client Cal Performances, the West coast’s largest performing arts presenter, asked for help naming a signature initiative created by its newly arrived Artistic Director.

Each season would feature performances, public events, and programs around specific research-inspired themes. Given that the initiative celebrated the relationship between Cal Performances and the University — whose motto is Fiat Lux, “let there be light” — the name ‘Illuminations’ was a natural fit.
